You've built a successful life, but your relationships don't feel as fulfilling as you'd hoped. Maybe you find yourself repeating the same dating patterns, struggling to trust others, pulling away when intimacy deepens, or wondering why insight alone hasn't created the change you're looking for. You want more than temporary relief. You want relationships that feel secure, authentic, and emotionally connected, without losing yourself in the process.
Hi, I'm JP (he/him), a Licensed Mental Health Counselor providing in-person therapy in Seattle and virtual therapy throughout Washington. I specialize in working with gay men and LGBTQ+ individuals navigating dating, intimacy, attachment, sexuality, and relationships. My approach is warm, direct, and collaborative, integrating attachment theory, developmental psychology, relational therapy, and sex therapy to help you understand the deeper emotional patterns shaping your relationships and develop new ways of connecting with yourself and others.
I believe meaningful change happens through both insight and experience. Together, we'll explore the beliefs, relationship dynamics, and emotional patterns that keep you feeling stuck while building the confidence to communicate openly, tolerate vulnerability, and create relationships rooted in authenticity rather than fear. Whether you're navigating dating, commitment, open relationships, shame, or simply wanting to become a more grounded version of yourself, I'll help you build the emotional capacity for deeper, more fulfilling connections.

My work is grounded in the belief that our earliest relationships shape how we experience intimacy throughout our lives. I integrate Attachment Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Relational Therapy, the Bader Pearson Developmental Model, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), mindfulness, ACT, CBT, trauma-informed care, and sex therapy to help clients understand and shift long-standing emotional and relational patterns.
